Reblog: How Do You Find Your Narrator’s Voice?

If there’s one thing you should probably study more as a writer, it’s voice.

In the writing world, voice is a bit of a taboo topic. Most people don’t like to talk about it because it can be difficult to identify and distinguish from tone and style. While you have your own voice as an author, in many fiction novels, the author chooses to let a specific character narrate instead—which means that that character must have a distinct voice.

I highly recommend you read this post to brush up on voice and learn how it can make your novel more memorable. This is something that I’m currently studying, too!

Happy writing!
